Random pictures

University classes are still out for summer vacation until August 25 so there hasn't been a whole lot to update the blog with. Thank you to my faithful readers, though, for reminding me that I need to update with something even if it isn't very exciting (maybe you're my only faithful reader, Lee, but I'll take one over no one). Mainly my time during vacation from classes has been spent with friends from the CEB and continuing to deepen relationships with my friends from campus. Below are me, Karla, Misael, Jorge, Chuy, Ceci, Sara, and Manuel. It has been good to see Karla since her return from the States and I'm excited to see what is happening in her life right now. She has come to the point where she is ready to say she is a Christian now and is continuing to learn a lot about the Bible and who Christ is. Pray for her as she grows in her walk with Christ.

Izzy is definitely an interesting dog and loves to surprise us with where or how we will find her next. She loves to sleep on her back with her legs all up or to sit up like this in the chair. She keeps Kim and I laughing.

The other day I went to a batting cage here in the city with my friend Allan from my conversation club. It's something we've been wanting to do for a while now and we finally got around to it the other day.
After not hitting a ball in the past year and a half I wasn't sure how I would do. I'm proud to say though that I was able to hit 60 balls in the 60 mph cage without my arm being sore the next day.
I've also been able to make some new friends recently. The picture below is of me, Daniel, and Lulu. Recently I've been taking another salsa class and Daniel is my teacher in that class. He really has become more of a friend than a teacher though and Lulu is a friend I met through Daniel and some other people I know. I have been enjoying going salsa dancing with them and getting to know them better.
