Queretaro

This past weekend, Kim and I went to Queretaro, the city I was in for almost 3 months when I was studying Spanish. Garry and Lori Jones are missionaries there who we really enjoy spending time with. They are finishing their term and heading back to the states in a couple of weeks so we wanted to see them again before they left.

One of our favorite things to do with Garry and Lori is play 9 holes of golf, a card game they taught us last year. We get pretty serious about that game. Garry has even made an electronic spreadsheet to keep score with! Most of our weekend was actually spent around their kitchen table playing cards, playing Farkle (a dice game), eating, and joking around with each other. It was a relaxing weekend and great getting to spend time with them.
Behind Kim and I you can see the beginning of the aqueduct that Queretaro is known for. It is just under a mile long.

You can see most of the aqueduct in this picture. I love the city of Queretaro. It was nice to go away for the weekend to a city that is a lot smaller and much cleaner than Guadalajara.
