A couple of weeks ago I was talking with my friend Laura and found out that she had never ridden a horse before. There is this great park near mine and Kim's house (makes you feel like you aren't in the middle of a huge city) where you can ride horses for really cheap. So I thought it would be a great idea to take my friend Laura to ride horses. Turns out it may not have been the best idea as shown by the following pictures. But, hey, at least she has tried it once now.

I think in this picture she was thinking, "Why did I agree to come?" You can tell she was pretty scared.

Still looking a little uncomfortable in this picture with Misael, but maybe thinking "I can go just a little bit further." And no, Misael does not carry a Rugrats backpack...he was carrying that for Laura. Mexicans seem to love anything with cartoon characters on it.
Finally Laura decided she should just get off her horse. You can tell she looks a lot happier now. She walked the horse all the way back to the entrance.
Laura was a good sport about it all and told Misael and I to go ride a while longer because she knew we wanted to gallop instead of just walking.

We had a fun day together but I don't think we will choose horseback riding the next time we hang out together. Both Laura and Misael are from my conversation club and I really enjoy being with them. I'm praying for more opportunities for the three of us to spend time together and am really excited to see what God is going to do in mine and Misael's friendship with Laura, especially now that Misael is a believer too and has already begun sharing with others.

who better to teach Laura to become a country girl than you? aside from the name thing, you have the experience of being a city girl who poses as country. I see this working out well

You're hilarious Lee. Real funny. Hope you note the sarcasm in my tone.
