Busy week

Things have been absolutely crazy this week. I feel like I have not slowed down. On Tuesday, David Haynes (one of the missionaries here) arrived back from stateside assignment. He drove their van back down here and Chris, one of my friends from back home, kept him company. Chris wanted to drive down with David and spend some time here in Mexico and with the Haynes' family. It was so good for me to see someone from back home and to hang out with one of my good friends. And he turned out to be a handyman at mine and Kim's new house. Thanks Chris for all the boxes you carried, dishes you dried, and especially for getting our dryer hooked up (even though you had to put it through the window for it to fit!). On Wednesday, Becky Haynes and the kids arrived. It was so good to see their family. And it was definitely different that I got to go to the airport and greet them instead of the other way around! I feel like I have been waiting forever to get to GDL, for Kim to get here, and for the Haynes to get here and now all of those have happened...and pretty much all at once!

Kim and I are excited to finally be settled. This week has been full of moving things, buying things, and getting things set up. We still have a long way to go, but we are all unpacked and I won't have to move again for quite a while! I will post pictures of our new place soon.

We had to wash all of our new dishes (every pot, pan, plate, glass, tupperware) and it was alot. Chris ended up being our official dryer while I washed and Kim put away. I don't think he was too excited about it, but he was a big help.
