My walk with Him

"Your call is what will take you to the field, but your walk is what will keep you on the field." That quote from one of our classes this week sticks out to me. God is really showing me how much my focus needs to be completely on Him and not on anything else. It is easy to get distracted and it is also easy to think of your life in how it relates to your friends and family, but God is really just showing me how much I need to focus on my walk with Him and my life in relation to Him alone.

This has been a really busy week. Not only have we had classes until 3:00 everyday, but we have also had a couple things at night too. One night a group of journeymen had some time just to sit down and talk with Jerry and Bobby Rankin. We have had sessions on personal discipleship, servant leadership, being single on the field, transitioning and grief, opening new bank accounts, preparing legal documents, and medical issues. Last night, all of us jmen went over to Elbert's house (the director of orientation) for dinner. After that, we had a little fun exploring on the MLC campus and were successful in finding the secret journeyman room that we had heard talked about. And then of course there is always time for good conversations with good friends. Here is a picture of me and my friend Abby when we all went bowling last week. God is just so good in planning for us to be here at the same time....sometimes we find that we are so alike it scares us :) Out of all the people here, there are 7 of us girls who have just really bonded quickly, so praise God for the way He has provided these friendships that we know will be lifelong.
