My time at MLC has been great so far. The fellowship of believers up here really just amazes me. I feel like I have known some of these people for a lot longer than just a few days. There is just this common bond because we all know what each other is experiencing in leaving everything we know and everything that is comfortable to us. I can't even really explain in words the connection that you have with these people. I can't imagine how close we will be at the end of 7 weeks.
So far we have had a few different sessions. Yesterday the director talked to us from John 17, where Jesus is praying for believers. It was such a time of affirmation, just encouraging us in going out. Although this passage talks alot about unity, we were reminded that that was only the intermediate goal. The ultimate goal was that the world might know Him. The night before Jesus was crucified He had the world on His mind. He desires people from every tribe and tongue to know Him.
We also had a session on evangelism today and we were put into ministry teams while we are here. I am on the medical team...imagine that. On clinic days, I get to give shots. There are several R.N.s here but only 3 of us can actually give shots because only some states' licenses are good in Virginia too.....and TN happens to be one of those. I'm a little nervous about giving the kids shots but once I do the first few I will be ok. I'm actually kind of excited about being really good at shots when we are done because we are going to do so many. The average person here will get 12 shots and there are 239 people here.

It sounds like things are going really well. Hope that your classes are as good as your sessions. I can't believe you really get to do the "clinic ministry"...mom is going to think it is hilarious. Well hope to hear from you soon. Love ya girly!
