Feliz Navidad!
This Christmas has definitely been different than any other I have experienced before, but God has been good as always and I have had a good Christmas. Christmas Eve was spent with other missionaries in Celaya, which is near Queretaro. We had a good time eating, singing Christmas songs with each other, and sharing what God is teaching us. Today I spent the day with the Youngs and Nolan's family who is here from Georgia visiting him. Being away from home really makes you appreciate things that you wouldn't think twice about at home. I don't think I have ever been so thankful to have a whole meal of American food and to be able to sit around and sing songs in English.
This Christmas has been simpler than any other Christmas before and also filled with more time to reflect on what this time of year really means. Though my morning was not filled with a Christmas tree, presents, decorations, or family, it was filled with Him....and what could be better? I had time to meditate on the depth of His great love and was brought to a sense of awe again at what He did for us and how the world was completely changed by the birth of our Savior. He looked on our world in such a sinful and helpless state and chose to wrap Himself in the flesh of a dependent baby....could there be any greater humility? I have truly experienced Him this Christmas and the peace of the One who is called Immanuel (Isaiah 7:14), God with us.

It sounds like you had a great Christmas! We missed having you with us but what a great day you had just reflecting on Him and the true meaning of Christmas. We tend to get wrapped up in all of the gift giving and forget that this is Jesus's birthday. How I wish we all could experience what you did today! Thanks for the new pictures. They were great! Love Ya!
